A note from Mrs. Schmitt:

I am so impressed with the level of talent that Mrs. Roberts and I saw at the auditions and callbacks for Legally Blonde the Musical, Jr. We have an incredibly talented cast this year, and with a lot of hard work this has the potential to be a truly amazing show!

A couple of updates…

  • The cast and crew parent meeting has been postponed to Tuesday, October 2nd at 7:00 pm in the AMS auditorium. If you are unable to attend, please let me know. (The GoPlaySave Discount book money and unsold books are also due on October 2nd at the Cast and Crew meeting.)
  • Rehearsals are currently waiting for the arrival of our scripts from MTI. Once we have those in hand, I will be able to let you know when rehearsals begin. We will do our best to avoid scheduling students when they have conflicts, but please remember that as we get closer to the show, students will be called more and more frequently.
  • We need help! You’ll hear this in the meeting on October 2nd, but we have many opportunities for you to be involved as much as you are able, especially for volunteers who are able to serve as crew leads. Please e-mail if you are interested and able!

Please note that the Mandatory Parent Cast and Crew meeting has been changed to Oct 2nd at 7 pm in the Apex Middle auditorium. The meeting is for all Cast, Crew, and Parents. The GoPlaySave Discount book money and unsold books are also due on October 2nd at the Cast and Crew meeting.

For help in preparation for auditions, please visit the MTI website: About halfway down the page there is a link for “audition central” which will pop-up a screen with character breakdowns, and short pieces from the script and score. Mrs. Schmitt recommends choosing a song (not from the show) that will showcase your voice. (update: monologues will not be done during 1st round auditions. There may be some pieces to read during call backs.)
